A friend has been given three days notice to submit as much stuff as possible for a magazine that needs to be printed off and distributed during a demonstration or something. Articles (max. 300 words), pictures, comics, jokes. It's by the Scottish Socialist Youth but I think they want environmental and local(to Glasgow) issues as well.
I agreed to make a comic about how the falling pH of the ocean is making it harder for creatures such as plankton, sea urchins and possibly coral to make their shells. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO WRITE COMICS! How do I make it interesting/ funny and not just depressing? I've decided to have an individual plankton as a narrator but can't think of much for him to say.

EDIT: I have a rough idea for a story now, though it's too wordy and not very funny. It might have a drawing of a lobster in a labcoat, that's mildly amusing, right? Can anyone think of a good name for a plankton or a sea urchin?
When I was looking for a picture of a lobster to copy I found this. I'm confused.
